Woman's Missionary Society
WMS President’s Message
Founded in 1947, the Woman’s Missionary Society (WMS) is an auxiliary of the Southern Methodist Church and an arm of the missions program of our denomination. It is composed of women in the local church who choose to be a part of this ministry. The organization extends to the district and annual conference levels and culminates in the Council, which meets every four years. In addition, an organization exists for children and youth.
Because of the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations, the WMS challenges the individual woman to reach her family, community and world for Christ. Such challenge is reinforced through annual retreats and conference meetings.
